This is a series of marble paintings that I originally did in 2014 as a school project and decided to repurpose and experiment with digitally. I manipulated the paintings in a flexible programme sketchbook called Processing.

The method itself is known as databending - a process of distorting a media file (in any format) using a software programme - which results in many interesting, unpredictable outcomes.
